In December of 2024, Penn State’s Katie Schumacher-Cawley became the first female coach to lead her team to a Div 1 championship in NCAA volleyball history but off the court, she was undergoing cancer treatment. Schumacher-Cawley sits down with TODAY’s Jill Martin to open up about her diagnosis and finding strength in her team during her journey. Then, she gets a surprise from some of the players from her team!
