If you somehow haven’t heard, Oasis are reuniting and heading on tour, including dates in the US. The journey for the Gallagher brothers to reconcile was a long and arduous one, marked by frequent barbs on social media and in the press. And, apparently, the band’s early days were no less hectic, according to a new book about the band.
And After All is subtitled “A Fan History of Oasis,” and features recollections from the band’s early days, their mid-90s heyday, and up to the present. And After All, announced in February, is written by journalist Melissa Locker. The book will be released on July 1 and is available to preorder now from retailers like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Bookshop.org.

And After All: A Fan History of Oasis
The book features conversations with fans who attended some of Oasis’s earliest gigs, their first PR manager, and some of the bands that shared the bill with them. Locker also interviewed attendees of the band’s most notable shows during their peak, including Knebworth, Coachella, and Wembley.
Oasis famously blew up after a spat on stage in 2009 (an incident chronicled in the book by a fan in attendance), and the band’s early days playing pub gigs were apparently pretty chaotic, too.
In the book, fan Steve Spithray recalls that Noel Gallagher, a Manchester City F.C. supporter, nearly got into a brawl while touring Newcastle United F.C. territory. “I remember seeing out of the corner of my eye, Noel jumped offstage. I don’t think I actually saw the guy get onstage and punch him, but Noel went in the audience. Then I remember seeing Liam like, literally going headfirst in the audience after Noel.” Liam ended the show early, according to Spithray, and fans skirmished in the street before chasing the band off in their van.
And After All is just one book about Oasis slated to arrive later this year as the band heads back on tour. Noel Gallagher also edited a new photo book by Jill Furmanovsky. Oasis: Trying to Find a Way Out of Nowhere features photos of the band throughout their history, including images of their rehearsals for the upcoming tour.
